| | So, I was driving along yesterday looking for the vehicle emissions
place. Mapquest has duped me before. This time I'm sure it's my fault
since I hand copied directions rather than printing them (is the
printer working?), and probably left out some key information. Like..
whether to go right or left on a major street. So as I drive to the
left (wrong direction, fyi) for 10 minutes, looking for the street, I
have plenty of time to think...
...and I remembered, I would love to be a producer for radio... how
random is that? In particular, I'm interested in shows like "This
American Life" (TAL) or "Fresh Air with Terry Gross." TAL is my secret
obsession.. I realize that they do cultural studies on that show. Turns
out that the host has a background in semantics, which explains some of
the pacing and the well-crafted tone of the show. I love putting things
together like that.. Used to thrive on it. The host also shares several
similarities with me, so I should write a fawning fan-girl lettler. Or
not.
My friends have told me to keep with my random degree since I have
funding.. but my heart isn't really in it right now. They say everyone
goes through phases like this..
But what would I rather do? Other than lose myself in a game.. I don't know. I don't know what I want to be when I grow up....
